Privacy Policy

Last updated

Cartroute is a navigation app for golf carts and low-speed vehicles (LSVs), built by Keogram Labs ("Keogram," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Cartroute app and this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to users in the United States.

Information we collect

  • Account information. If you create an account, we collect the details you provide, such as your email address.
  • Precise location data. To give you turn-by-turn directions, Cartroute collects your device’s precise location (GPS) while you use the app, including while navigation is running in the background or on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You control this through your device’s location permission, and you can turn it off at any time. Navigation will not work without it.
  • Trips and routes. Destinations you search for, routes you request, and Saved Places.
  • Device and usage information. We may collect device model, operating system version, app version, and similar technical information, and use analytics or crash reporting to fix bugs and improve the app.
  • Purchase information. Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google process your payment. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and a transaction identifier, but not your payment card number.
  • Messages you send us. If you email hello@keogram.com, we keep the message and our reply.

How we use your information

  • To provide navigation, route calculation, and search.
  • To manage your account (if you create one) and your subscription, including the 5-day free trial.
  • To maintain, secure, and improve Cartroute.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

We use location data to provide navigation.

Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the service:

  • Mapping and routing providers that receive route and location requests so they can return directions and map data.
  • Service providers. We may use service providers such as hosting, analytics, and crash reporting, who process data on our behalf.
  • Apple and Google, for subscriptions and app distribution.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers. If Keogram is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that deal.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention

We keep account information while your account is active. Location and route data is kept only as long as needed to provide the service and for a limited period afterward for security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting, then deleted or de-identified. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, which keep their own purchase records; we do not keep a copy. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Your rights), or delete your account in the app or by email. When you delete your account we delete all of its data, including from backups, within 30 days, and keep nothing.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
  • access a copy of your personal information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your personal information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

California (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have the rights above, plus the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (which includes precise geolocation). Cartroute does not sell or share personal information, so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. We honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required.

Other states. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Utah, Oregon, and other states with privacy laws have similar rights, including the right to appeal a denied request.

To make a request, email hello@keogram.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before acting. You may also use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority. We respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days).

Children

Cartroute is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them, in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email hello@keogram.com and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
